Steps for Project Managers to add a new Risk to a Project or Project Request Risk Register. 

Definitions

Risk = An uncertain event or condition that, if it occurs, has a positive or negative effect on a project’s objectives (something that could happen). 

Instructions

  1. Open TDNext in the browser
  2. Browse to either the Portfolio Planning (for Requests) or Projects (for Projects) tab.
  3. Select the project name to open the Request, or project name -> Manage to open the Project
  4. In the pop-up window, click on the Risks Register tab in the left menu
  5. Click on the + (New) button

  1. Enter the Title, Category, Threat/Opportunity, Description, Probability, Impact, Urgency, and other related information.  
  2. Click on the Save button

 

More Information

Project Managers must continue to actively monitor and maintain all identified Risks throughout the lifecycle of the project.
