CrowdStrike On-Demand Scan

Overview

Crowdstrike On Demand scan is a feature of the Crowdstrike Falcon agent that is installed on all City of Goodyear PC and MAC computers.  On Demand scan can be used to scan individual files or folders to determine if they are malicious.  

Instructions

To scan a suspicious file or folder:

1. Right-click on the file or folder you would like to scan
2. Click on "CrowdStrike Falcon malware scan, then click on "Scan" to begin the scan
3. A message will pop up in the bottom right of your desktop to confirm the scan is in progress
4. When the scan has been completed another pop up message will display the results
5. If you receive a message that malicious files have been found, please contact the service desk immediately at 623-882-7850

To view more detailed results of the most recently scanned file:

1. Right-click in an empty area of your desktop, or folder and click on "CrowdStrike Falcon malware scan"
2. Click on "See results of last scan"
3. A command window will open displaying the results of the most recent scan
