Overview
Use this procedure to process a Public Records Request search for email.
Definitions

Instructions

From a Microsoft Edge Browser, Navigate to Portal.office.com and select the ADMIN tab.
2. In the left column, select Show All > Select Compliance > Select eDiscovery.
3. Select the drop-down option and choose Standard
4. Select Create a new Case. Name the case after the associated request and ticket number. (EX. PRR - Corsi - L71C4263A8).
5. Add a description to the case. Note: Some cases will have multiple search criteria.
6. Select the new Case, select searches, and select new search.
7. Give the new search a name and description.
8. Select Add conditions. Date range, to and from, or other criteria. Submit the search.
9. The output statistics will appear in the status area.
10. Select the Review Sample button to verify the data. If the search has valid data, go to the actions drop down menu and select "Export results".
11 Select “One PST file containing all messages in a single folder." and select "enable de-duplication for Exchange content."
12. Select the "Export" Button.
13. Exported download will be available from the EXPORT menu option.
14. Select the Export report and wait for the scheduling to finish.
15. Select the refresh option. An export Key will generate. Copy the Key to the clipboard and select Download results from the menu.
16. Download to C:\PRR Search (copy the key when prompted). Create a new folder using the search request as the name.and use the search as the name.
