Managing CIP Project Request

Overview

This feature appears in the TDNext (User) interface for portfolio planner users to evaluate, collaborate, assign, and approve or decline project requests.

Instructions

Evaluating a Submitted CIP Project Request

  1. Navigate to TDNext (User) > Applications > Portfolio Planning

  2. Click the 0 – CIP – Project Review link in the left navigation and run the report.
  3. Click the Name link of the project request you would like to evaluate.
  4. In the Request Explorer window, click the name link of the section you would like edit, then click the Edit link. You will need to check the Mark Incomplete button to make revision
  5. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)Click on the Save button.
  6. Mark sections as complete when you are satisfied with all your changes.

Approving or Declining a Project Request

  1. Navigate to TDNext (User) > Applications > Portfolio Planning
  2. Click the 0 – CIP – Project Review link in the left navigation and run the report.
  3. Click the Name link of the project request you would like to approve or decline.
  4. In the Request Explorer window, click the Actions button, then select Approve Request or Reject – Decline Request from the dropdown.

Assign a Project Request to a Workflow

  1. Navigate to TDNext (User) >Applications > Portfolio Planning.
  2. Click the 0 – CIP – Project Review link in the left navigation and run the report.
  3. Click the Name link of the project request you would like to assign.
  4. In the Request Explorer window, click the Actions button, then select Assign to Workflow from the dropdown.
  5. In the Assign Request to Workflow window, select workflow.

Assign a Project Manager to a CIP Project Request

  1. Navigate to TDNext (User) > Applications > Portfolio Planning.
  2. Click the 0 – CIP – Project Review link in the left navigation and run the report.
  3. Click the Name link of the project request you would like to approve workflow step.
  4. Click the Actions button, then select Approve Step from the dropdown.
  5. In Next Step Approver, select Project Manager.

Approve a Workflow Step

  1. Navigate to TDNext (User) > Applications > Portfolio Planning.
  2. Click the 1 – CIP – Create Project Charter link in the left navigation and run the report.
  3. Click the Name link of the project request you would like to approve workflow step.
  4. Click the Actions button, then select Approve Step from the dropdown.
